It’s supposed to be a hawkman, but the jointed legs aren’t defined enough yet and the wings are too pale
I’m not sure if I’ll keep the ear feathers for hawkmen, in my mind they never had them, but I wanted to try out the look.

Happy New Year!
I keep the art on my computer organized by year, so today I made a 2012 folder and went through and moved over the 2011 files that I still wanted to finish. As I was going through the files I found this very old and hideous unfinished painting I had started and subsequently forgot all about. Ended up having some fun trying to fix it up.
It’s a detail shot, the full version will be posted on deviantart later. It features a very glamorous Arquel haha

Unfinished! Still working on it. Started as a loose sketch to see what that those wings wrapping around his neck would look like.
It’s also cropped, maybe the composition is better this way.
